Artex
Founded in 1987 on the initiative of Confartigianato and CNA, Artex works to protect, develop, innovate and promote artistic and traditional crafts in Italy and in the main foreign markets.
The organisation helps craft businesses access funding, take part in fairs and events, and develop European and international projects. Artex has built an international network to promote artistic and traditional crafts, encouraging cultural and commercial exchange between craftspeople and foreign markets. Officina Creativa Firenze is a driving centre for local, national and international artistic craftsmanship, connecting traditions with creative industries, both traditional and innovative.
Located in the Conventino complex just outside the city walls, Officina Creativa hosts more than 25 craftspeople working in fields such as ceramics, leather goods, textile restoration and decoration.
